The gentle breeze blows against her skin as she stands outside, leaning on a wall. The sun peeks out from the clouds every so often.
”Japan… it’s been a while.”
She says with a smile.
”You know many people would be angry, disrespected even that they were on a preshow or prologue. It doesn’t matter which fancy name you want to call it, it’s all the same anyways. We’re the first thing anyones going to see that night, the match to draw them into the rest of the show.”
The memories of this land pass by her like a blur. So many things have happened here. From her training to some of her biggest matches in her career. To getting the call of her mother passing and finding her father and step sister. So many memories…
”At least that’s what this would’ve been with any other opponent. But tonight i face off against a youtuber, some lazy ass punk kid who probably thinks this is all fake and a joke. Well let me be the first to tell you this right here is the real deal. In our world it doesn’t matter how many followers on youtube or instagram or whatever other platform you have is. What matters is results in the ring and getting asses to seats.”
The countless buckets of blood spilled in the dojos. The pro test she finally completed. Those were the good memories. Before everything went to shit. Before everyone she knew left her all alone and she reached rock bottom.
”You drew an unlucky draw my friend, in a few days you face a former world champion, a tag team extraordinaire. I’m fastly approaching my peak, and you? Your just some pretender. A sham. They may of thought a “world famous” youtuber in the ranks would get a few eyes onto the product. Maybe that’s why you’re facing me.”
The fleeting memories of happiness pass. Her last true memory of joy from many moons ago.
”So at By The Sword i face off against you. I’ll give you a beating you’ve never experienced before. Your time is ticking… and it’s times up for you.”
