| Defeated Ozymandias Date October 18th, 2020 Show/PPV By The Sword Location Saitama, Japan Venue Seibu Dome Championship Win Colt Montoya had made his name well known throughout Wrestleworld since his debut, capturing his greatest victory yet at Dreamworld over King Tristan Killebrew. However, Colt still demanded more challenges to overcome as he also enlisted the help of a Manager in Kimberly Chase. Colt would find himself in the midst of his greatest challenge yet when newly-crowned European Champion, Ozymandias, would hand-pick him to be his first challenger; making it known by attacking Colt. Ozymandias picking Colt in particular due to a previous contest between the two men that he felt went unresolved. The two men would exchange assaults in the following weeks leading up to their Championship bout, but the odds felt stacked against Colt with the dominant force of nature that was Ozymandias manhandling him throughout most of it. The two men finally clashed at By The Sword, where Ozymandias' daunting reign came to a shocking end as Colt Montoya would find the resolve to overcome the Butcher and force him to submit via knockout to capture the European Championship in a stunning upset.
Championship Defenses
December 27th, 2020: After such a victory at By The Sword, the defiant newly-crowned European Champion in Colt Montoya felt he needed to prove that his victory was no fluke. However, he would soon find himself confronted by a man that intended to cement that it was a fluke as Maverick - fresh from severing his ties to Claudia Michaels and The Underworld - enlisted his goons known as Kingsguard Security to steal the European Championship out from Colt's nose during a match. The self-proclaimed "King" Maverick would reveal he was the man behind its disappearance as he held the Championship hostage and demanded he be given a shot at it or else he would destroy it. Colt Montoya - fearing no challenger - didn't hesitate to give Maverick the match he wanted. However, Maverick continued to hold the Championship hostage until Montoya also bowed down before him as an act of humility. Montoya would entertain the notion of doing it to get his Championship back without a fight, but would ultimately strike Maverick and steal the Championship back. At War of the Worlds, the match itself was a back and forth affair in which both men battled ruthlessly for the right to walk out as the rightful European Champion of Wrestleworld. In the end, Colt Montoya got the better of Maverick and submitted him to secure a tap out victory and a successful retention. March 14th, 2021 - Colt Montoya realized quickly how different he was from the former European Champions that Babayka and Dr. Erik Vance had been keen on. They had no apparent interest in him as their Champion and instead favored the mentally-declining Nobi, who had been more and more consumed by an apparent darkness. Nobi found himself being groomed to be nothing more than a monster by Babayka at his Carnival. Colt Montoya would become increasingly disgusted and angry at this as he tried to bring Nobi's humanity out of him. Despite this, Babayka and Vance would put them against one another in a match to take place at Cero Miedo. Colt's efforts to bring Nobi out of the darkness would prove to be futile as Nobi would attack him and put him through a table at their Contract Signing. Colt would have no choice but to go all out, just as Nobi did as well at Cero Miedo. The two would unleash all of their pent up frustration and anger at one another, but in the end, Nobi's darkness would get the better of him and ultimately cost him the match as Colt submitted him and retained the European Championship. April 11th, 2021 - After seeing how Cynthia Rose was screwed out of her World Cup and World Title shot by Kimberly Chase, Colt Montoya took mattered into his own hands. He offered a Title shot to Cynthia on the following Chapter in which the winner would go on to face Kimberly Chase at ARCADIA. The two took each other on in a highly-anticipated match up. In the end, the match was quickly thrown out to the dismay of the fans and competitors after Kimberly Chase interfered. It was ruled a No Contest, with Colt Montoya retaining by default.
Championship Loss
May 30th, 2021 - After helping Cynthia Rose re-secure the World Cup and a Championship Opportunity, Colt would find himself challenged by her once and for all at Wrestleworld's biggest show, ARCADIA. Leading up to the event, Colt began to show little respect for Cynthia, believing that - despite everything - she was simply not ready to dethrone him, especially feeling she clings to her mentor, Percy. Cynthia would remain headstrong and believed she was ready for the challenge while Colt claimed he would leave wrestling along with still being Champion. The two would finally take each other on in the main event of Week 2 of ARCADIA. With the world watching, Colt Montoya played far dirtier than he ever had before and pushed Cynthia to her limits. But in the end, Cynthia took control and dethroned Colt in a huge upset.
