Brief Biography (optional): Matthew Knox was born in Monterey California to a pair of people doomed to the hellish depths of addiction. He was six when his father took his mother's life and then his own. All over a stash of meth the investigators later found sitting in plain sight in the kitchen. He spent many of his formative years in a local orphanage learning how to be a good catholic, wrought with guilt and welts from the nuns.

His adoptive father, Hugh Thomas Alano was a retired wrestler who early on couldn't help but notice the mix of anger and natural athleticism in his adopted son and by the time Matthew officially entered the business, donning the moniker of his favorite Poe piece "The Raven" he was already a very adept ring general.

His career was filled with ups and downs but was akin to Icarus. He would suffer tremendous personal loss including his father in his personal life, have a family with an adopted daughter of his own and one birthed from a failed marriage. Gold was abundant but the pressures and the demons that killed his father did their best to kill him too..

Now? All he can do is try and be better.

Entrance Description (optional): The sweeping cellos of Evil Returns (Remix) begin to rise as the houselights dim to a dull blue and a smoke gathers at the entryway. Suddenly, the tone of the song changes as electric guitars and a ferocious drum beat spring forth and just as suddenly, Matthew Knox rises from the fog. His face adorned in corpse paint with a glasgow smile penciled in black over his lips and strikes over his eyes.

He makes his way down to the ring, dressed in a sleeveless hoodie and tights. As he slides into the ring, he runs to the nearest corner and yells out to the crowd, arms outstretched. He repeats this with the opposite corner, before removing his hoodie and kneeling in a corner, eyeing the entryway as he awaits his opponents.
