| Rosanna felt comfortable under the afternoon sunlight on her skin through the window of her loft at the Wrestleworld Capital. She sits on a black leather seat with one ankle on top of the other as she reads “The Zahir” by Paolo Coelho in her hand. She takes a sip of the coffee next to her before she turns a page to read the next part with her calm gazing eyes and relaxed shoulders. She wears a black and white polka dot-pattern dress that goes down below her knees, and a headband over her head. She hears the doorbell ringing from her door which surprised her. She doesn’t really have a lot of guests in Wrestleworld. Jonetta won’t be around until tomorrow to become a guest of the Island and by then, Rosanna is already booked to leave for Mexico for another competition.Rosanna walks towards the door and she opens it. She is greeted by a man in a suit, carrying a travel bag, but otherwise looking sharp and professional. Rosanna looks closely. She couldn’t believe her eyes.Rosanna Vendetta: Kenji?Kenji Armstrong: Roxy! The two hug it out, after so many months of not seeing each other. Kenji Armstrong, formerly known as Hard Candy, is someone who was Rosanna’s guardian angel when she was a child, hired by Rosanna’s parents to keep an eye on her and for a long time, he’s always had a protective instinct when it comes to her. At one point in Rosanna’s life, Claudia has forced her into an Asylum to “cure” her for not being good enough and being delusional to think that she could represent the family, and when she was there trapped and alone, Kenji posed as one of the asylum guards to watch over her from outside of her cell. Rosanna had to fight for her food to eat and a bed to sleep at night and a few minutes in the sun. The journey wasn’t so easy, but Kenji made it bearable. Rosanna Vendetta: Welcome to Wrestleworld! It’s been such a long time! How have you been, Kenji?Kenji Armstrong: I’ve been well, I’ve been well. I just thought I’d visit the famous Wrestleworld and, you know, check out some shows, and maybe check out some competition. I’ve got a VIP badge and everything! All I need is to rent a room to sleep in!Rosanna Vendetta: I didn’t know you were such a big fan of DOMINION.Kenji Armstrong: Well, yes, they promised me free Mexican food and Sushi in the cruise. What more can a man hope for? This is exactly what I need because my podcast show has been getting a lot of subscribers on Youtube, and I think I’m about four or five episodes away from having that Pewdiepie-level popularity! But enough about my bigshot work-out show podcast. How’s Wrestleworld life treating you? You’re not getting bullied, are you?Rosanna shakes her head. She closes the door behind Kenji and lets him see her cozy apartment with simple furnitures and a soft couch for guests like him to sit on in the middle of the room. Rosanna Vendetta: It’s been so wonderful! Every match I’ve been in has served its purpose. It tells the world that SPAWN has come here with a warning and we are not afraid to march forward to get our message across. We have recently gotten rid of that harlot half sister of ours, Athena and her broken half, Lannister. You should have seen the look on the crowd’s faces, Kenji. They were so proud of SPAWN for pulverizing any decent future that they could have together. Now they don’t get to wake up without thinking about how much they’ve suffered in the eyes of the public. I’m pretty much doing the same stuff as I did with The Dollhouse, except this time it feels good for the soul to do some good and become the savior that Wrestleworld needs, cleansing this world one sinner at a time. Kenji Armstrong: Well, I expected nothing less from you, Roxy… You’ve always been star material and you always know what to say. It’s always crazy how fast you win titles upon arrival to the company.Rosanna Vendetta: I can’t take full credit. It’s all thanks to my brother Ares this time around. I’ve won the Women’s Championship on my second match in OWA, it only took one big event to get one in WWH, and I’m currently the longest reigning Champion of LAW. Fate has been good to me and it let me know how it’s like to bring myself into war and fight my heart out, and I’m glad I’m doing some good with these lessons and expertise I’ve developed. Those experiences and accomplishments are just boulders and challenges to get me to where I am now. I wish you could meet Ares, Kenji. He is such a kind and compassionate human being who fights for what’s right. He’s always so dedicated to his work at our church to make sure that our name is respected, and I personally think that adding the Shogun Championship and displaying it in our house of worship would send the right message to the world. It’s not just about pride here. We’re past the point of thinking about pride or legacy, such fickle things that would just fade away as time goes by. When people hear our names, they won’t be thinking about the withering legends that came before us, they will think of the chosen generation that led OUR people to the promised land. Kenji Armstrong: I’m glad you’re very comfortable here, Roxy. You’ve really changed a lot and I never saw you as a religious person. Rosanna Vendetta: Enlightenment can flip you to the right direction overnight. I am the proof that you can find hope in this hopeless and abusive world. You’re welcome to come to The Church any time! Though I think after I win the Shogun Championship I might become too busy. You see, knowing how my opponent Emmanuelle is, she is the definition of disrespect for this title. I guess it makes sense as no one really takes her seriously as a competitor and everything that she has done leading up to now is just by chance. She hasn’t had any notable or memorable matches. People could argue that she has put on a great show against Arata Asakura at War of the Worlds, but there were a million other more important things happening around her at the time that her win was easily overshadowed. And that’s what happens when you put a main event king like Arata against a pretender like Emmanuelle. No matter how much Arata pushes for a star performance, he can’t carry someone who hasn’t deserved his spot at a title match. But I get it. She feels like she’s everything great. The world revolves around her. Every song written is about her. And I’m glad she’s enjoying all of the pleasantries and the rewards of a Championship reign that she bullshitted her way into… Erm.. Pardon my language. The point is, after I win the Shogun Championship, I will need to thoroughly clean it with holy water because the impurities and disrespect she has brought not just to the Shogun Division but to SPAWN. I need to exorcise and purify it because lord knows how many demons she summoned when she bastardized the meaning of being a prodigy. Kenji Armstrong: Fair enough! I think I’ll become a fan of this Ares guy, he seems to know what he’s talking about! I’ve always been curious of one thing though. I’ve never seen you interact with anybody when you were confined in The Dreamhouse. How did you and Ares even get in contact with each other to become.. this?Rosanna Vendetta: That’s a story for another day, Kenji… All you need to know is that Ares and I have never failed together, and we don’t intend to start at Cero Miedo. Contrary to what you might think though, I don’t think I’ve changed. I just started to see things the way they are. I just grew up. Rosanna takes another sip of her coffee. Rosanna Vendetta: But anyway, you can stay here as long as you like while you’re in town, Kenji. I am going on a flight to Mexico in a few hours, so this house is all yours for the weekend. Don’t forget to water the fake plants, and make sure Jonetta doesn’t try to store some dead animals here. Kenji Armstrong: Wait, what?!Rosanna Vendetta: I’m joking! Jeez!To Kenji, Rosanna can never do wrong. No matter what name she goes by or what her choice of wardrobe is, deep down she hasn’t really changed. She still aspires to become the best no matter what her purpose is. He has always watched out and looked out for her well-being. He doesn’t care if she’s the spoiled little Sweet Roxy, or this believer Rosanna Vendetta…The sun starts to set. It will be night time soon. Rosanna takes her book. She is off to pack her things and prepare for her trip. Kenji stays seated on the couch and sets up his podcast equipment to prepare for his own adventure. | |
