Two sides of the coin. - vs Mac & Murphy

01.03.21 Wrestleworld Islands

*After the Chapter that took place last night, several of the roster members decided to stay a few more days in Wrestleworld territory to catch a breath, before returning to their daily activities. Among them were Hana Nakajima and her trainer, Arata Asakura, who went out for dinner at one of the prestigious restaurants on the islands the next evening. The Japanese man, dressed elegantly as usual, stood near the railing on the balcony, where their table was located, sipping wine from a glass. Hana, on the other hand, was sitting near the table in a black kimono-like dress. It was not a formal meeting of any kind, it was simply a friendly dinner together, but you could have guessed that Wrestleworld matters would be one of the hot topics. After all, they both had their own goals and tasks to do, even if they had came across at the same point the night before.*

*For some time they were accompanied by an awkward silence, which was interrupted by the girl's melodious voice. Arata focused his gaze on her again, as so far he was looking at the city, still being pretty lively at late evening hours. Hana moved her hand over her face and finally started an uncomfortable conversation.*

"Forgive me...my excessive aggression during the match, but I had to act like that. I had to let them know that the fact that they are men does not give them an advantage over us. Maybe strength is an important factor, but not the only one that matters. Speed, agility or experience as a tag team is what works in our favor. The thing is, there was no better way than to show it at someone who is considered a strong figure in the company."

Arata just shrugged his shoulders and took another sip of red wine. A moment later, however, he gave her a slightly more specific answer.

"You don't have to apologize to me. In fact, you even surprised me at one point, so maybe I should be proud. After all, I know you like my own pocket, and you still managed to be one step ahead of me somehow. Of course, I don't want your ego to be pushed to the moon, so don't be too pleased with yourself. However, I have to give you credit. To be honest, unpredictability can also help you two in a match at Cero Miedo and I know you are capable of more that what you showed so far. Especially since, it's not just about belts or honor. Bold of you to put Sweet Melody on the line."

*The Japanese man shook his head with something like a smirk on his face. He did not fully understand what was in Hana's mind, when she made this decision. On the other hand, he was always willing to sacrifice a lot to get what he wanted. Perhaps it was a habit Hana learned from him.*

"I know it's risky, but otherwise they will never notice how important it is for us to finally get a chance at Campeonatos de Parejas. Until now, no one has paid attention to the fact that we have sacrificed our health for the good of this company. So maybe it will open their eyes. Maybe it will finally become clear that we are ready for anything just to fullfil our destiny. And that is to be at the top of the tag team division. Am I crazy to take such steps? I see it all the time in the newspapers or the internet."

"In the eyes of many, probably yes. On the one hand, you want Sweet Melody to rise, but you're also ready to squander all your work if something goes wrong. Although, you also show that you have enough confidence in yourself and your tag team partner that there is nothing that you're not ready to put on the line. A coin always has two sides. Depends on which one you look. So are you crazy? The decision is yours, kid."

*Hana shakes her head gently, keeping her hand on her forehead.*

"They're all so excited that this could be a new start or end for Sweet Melody, while I don't feel any negative emotions. I'm not scared. I don't feel anxious. Not because I don't care about April, but because I know this is our moment If not now, then when? If the requests for a chance have not helped so far. If our desire to be champions has not been enough yet. Let the future of the Sweet Melody be our motivation to win these belts. We put everything we have on the line. Not only work, but also friendship in some way. I know that me and April will not become strangers to each other, but I need her and she needs me. Therefore, there is no option that we will lose. Victory is the only thing we want."

"It's good that you treat it as something that is not a choice. It's good that you found something for which you are willing to sacrifice everything and you know that your partner will do the same." Arata raises his glass "Everything will be fine. Let's drink for a new start of Sweet Melody."

12.03.21 Tokyo, Japan

*It was the last night in Tokyo before the planned flight to Mexico, so Hana was spending this time alone at the local gym to make sure that her body would not disappoint on Sunday. After all, she had so much to lose that she would not forgive herself if Sweet Melody's breakup was her fault. She had to be perfectly prepared to let what others consider madness to turn into a brave start of what she and April believed in. That's how it was, both women felt deep in their hearts that there is no better moment than Cero Miedo to take control of the tag team division. Not only was it something they waited for months, but also the big stage would make their victory to be an even bigger statement. A statement that would make everyone understand that they were never just some of Stephanie Matsuda's back up. They were both here for the sake of their own good from the very beginning, until their paths finally came together and found a common purpose. A goal that was at their fingertips, but so far away at the same time. However, what they were sure about was that they had to lay their hands on the Campeonatos de Parejas at all costs. If not, it would not only be the end of their dream, but also the final chapter of Sweet Melody.*

*As the recording begins, Hana walks back and forth over the small area of the room, near the place that camera is set. The girl is wearing a white fitting track pants, white top with short sleeves and sport shoes of the same color. Her pink-purple hair is tied in two low ponytails and falls over her shoulders, making a clear contrast with the whiteness of her clothes. After a while, the Japanese girl finally comes closer to the camera and turns her face towards the lens. Still with her hands in her pockets and leaning her weight on her left leg, Hana starts talking in a fairly calm manner. However, in her eyes you can see that this whole situation means more to her than it seems to others.*

It is really interesting how people who are near each other can have such a different approach. What is serious for some, for others it is pure fun. The worst thing is that, it is usually those who are taking things lightly are the one achieving success. Why? Because they don't think about the consequences. Their premise is extremely simple. 'I have nothing to lose, but I have a lot to gain.' That's probably something that is behind every challenger to the title, as long as it's not far from the truth. In my and April's case, we do not have such comfort. We can't believe that no matter what happens, everything will be alright. It wouldn't, but neither of us needed a stupid stipulation to know that. In fact, maybe we put our team on the line, but it is not much different than if it were a regular match. It would be the only and last chance for Sweet Melody, because this company is not interested in us. For them, we've always been a bunch of people who are supposed to be behind their favourite superstars like Stephanie. In short, failure for us would be tantamount to pushing us to the side of the road again and using us to make others look better. However, we are fed up with the fact that we have to play the role of someone else's pawn all the time. After all, we want to decide for ourselves and winning the Campeonatos de Parejas is the easiest way to achieve this goal. Maybe then they will finally treat us as the proper roster members.

Until now, we have been treated like pushovers, although we have been doing everything for this company. We devoted our time, effort and health to fight The Underworld, and we got nothing in return. Absolutely nothing. Not even a little appreciation, because all the credit goes to Cloud as if the rest of the World's Finest didn't exist. All we got was stupid comments from idiots like Lillie Saint, that we had been protected all this time. I don't even want to tell you how many times I came back to the backstage with bruises or a bloody face, but it's best to see what you want to see. This is how Wrestleworld works. They ignore what is often important, because it does not suit their plans. That's why, me and April waited so long for our chance, while fucking Travis Murphy took one step into company and immediately they handed him the title. And you know what? It's disgusting to treat your dedicated employees so badly in favor of some amature. The guy who started his career a month ago cannot be called otherwise. All of you can defend that by saying that he is doing well, but I completely don't care. This guy had about three matches here, and just because he somehow managed to get through it, doesn't mean it was wise to give someone the title for free. One thing is that this is disrespectful to the rest of his roster, and the other is that he's just not ready to carry this responsibility on his shoulders. In terms of marketing, it also doesn't look good that the guy who used to work as a security guard a month ago is the main event of your show. Kinda looks like Wrestleworld has such low standards and nothing more to offer. Anyway, I know it is like one of those Cinderella stories for the crowd. Who doesn't like to look at a complete failure that has failed in any stage of its life, finally finding something to be good at and climbing to the top. The thing is, it's not even that. The presence of Travis is not brith of the new superstar, but a complete coincidence and no one will tell me otherwise. The fact that these two somehow managed to defend their belts for the first time was only thanks to Teddy, who somehow dragged him to victory. To be honest, I really don't understand the decision that Mac made. Having a free hand, he could choose anyone to be his partner, and he decided that the best option is someone who was in the ring three times in his life. Are you fucking stupid, Teddy? I understand having faith in you friend, but it is literally the risk that can cost you a lot. This is the risk that will destroy everything that you were working for here since day one.

This situation is like digging your own grave, but that's your idiotic decision, Teddy. With options like Darkane, Matt Miles or Jacob Senn, you must have been led by some sentiment...or maybe rather pity. Well, it must be depressing to see one of your childhood friends fail in life, to such an extent that even the work that any idiot could do causes his brain to freeze for a while. The thing is, bringing him to Wrestleworld doesn't solve anything. In fact, you're giving Travis a hope that it is going to be different this time around, while the wrestling industry isn't that easy. Maybe you two think it is all about strength, but this is bullshit. Therefore, as long as you two have an advantage in height and weight, it in no way puts you in a winning position. Sweet Melody has a lot more to offer, especially something you don't have. Experience as a team. As long as you could say that your silly cooperation somehow functions,  it is not something that can work for a longer term. You won't always be so lucky, especially against a real tag team like me and April. While Teddy can argue with me that he does not lack experience, it is not about individual skills. It's about understanding each other and ring awareness as a team. The point here is for two people to become one soul and body. Here you have to understand each other without words, and while you two have known each other for a long time, this is still not the kind of connection you need. Especially since you only fought as a team once. However, the experience is not the only thing to be questioned. Namely, trust is another. On this point, Teddy is a rather difficult topic, and I don't know which one of them is more stupid. Mac that he chose someone who is nothing like a burden, or maybe Travis deciding to work with someone who will stab him in the back with a smile on his face. The fact that they are friends does not change anything, because it's just like the case of The Good Guys. Nobi was also Teddy's friends, and we all know how it ended, right? Mac showed his true face, although apparently he has no balls to do it here as well. That's why, I'm going to ask you one question, Teddy. You don't feel like puking when you look in the mirror? It's not even that I judge your bad manners, but that you are fake. The only question is, whether it is towards everyone around  or yourself, huh? If you really had a life change, you wouldn't have to pretend you are the nice guy here, and at the same time destroy Olympus with Phantom Troupe in OWA. I don't know which Teddy is the real thing, but if I were Travis, I'd rather wonder if he should call his old boss and ask for forgiveness, because his relationship with you, won't necessarily be good for him.

*Hana changes her position and takes her hands out of her pockets, placing them on her waist. The girl takes a deep breath, making in this way a little break, then continues.*

I know, that in the last couple of weeks you both talked about how much you care about tag team wrestling and in a way I appreciate it, because we are on the same boat. The point is, just because you want something, doesn't mean you can do it. Here is the difference between us. You want to bring the tag team division to the heights, while Sweet Melody has a real chance of doing that. Even if at this point we have to put a high stake on the line to finally get a chance and introduce changes to this division, we are ready for that. I know, you think we're crazy, or actually me, because that was my proposition. However, we are not afraid of what the future will bring, because we know that we will leave Cero Miedo as the new Campeonatos de Parejas. Sometimes you have to put yourself at risk if you want to change your life. However, the risk is always worth it, especially since you know you can rely on your partner. You know that the person by your side is willing to sacrifice her health and even life to achieve a common goal. Therefore, while one side of the coin claims that we are heading to self destruction, I prefer the other side. The one that tells me that I believe so much in our common future, that I am willing to sacrifice our past. Therefore, let everything be clear. No matter what happens, this will be the final chapter for Sweet Melody. Not because it will lead us to collapse, but because in order to start a new era, the previous one must reach its final point. However, it will be immediately followed by a new beginning. The beginning in which Sweet Melody will lead this division to its top.

Even if all this sounds crazy as fuck, you can be sure that we are accompanied by only one feeling. Cero Miedo.
