How do you feel about "Supernatural" characters?

Throughout all decades of wrestling history, "supernatural" characters have been a prominent piece of kayfabe and usually defy basically all logic by having essentially special powers that they use to mostly intimidate enemies. Undertaker likely being the most famous of them all and a prime example of the type of character. So what's your take on supernatural characters? Are they essential to have? Do they add something? Is there a point where what the character does with its supernatural abilities that it goes too far?

They're part of my favourite things in wrestling, I was a big Kane fan. Lucha Underground was perhaps my favourite promotion of all time. I think wrestling being like a tv show, packed with stories and supernatural elements to back up the wrestling is better than taking realism too far(might as well watch UFC) or carny weird shit you'd never see in a normal tv show(period blood, penis wrestling)

It's a hit or miss to me. Some people do it right, while others try too hard. But I definitely don't mind people doing it if they know a lot about the type of supernatural they're playing. I actually wanted to do a witch/hex/voodoo character ages ago, and I think I woulda pulled it off if I didn't change plans. its also fun to see these types of characters and how they react to skeptics, cause I have seen on twitter how some of them ooc get angry cause the people they promo against arent acting like they're supernatural or don't believe them, its funny. Like, what did they expect?

I second this, though I do enjoy the more "realistic" stuff like Bloodsport as well. Supernatural gimmicks are some of the most fun to work with when the people behind them know what they're doing and properly establish their abilities.
