I think not only in e-feds, but in real wrestling too there's a lot of stigma about submission losses. How do you feel about them? What do you think if your character were to lose via submission? Does it matter to you if it's a tap out or passing out?

Unless your character is meant to be The Undertaker or John Cena you should be fully willing to tap out to a submission. I'll never understand the idea of tapping out "damaging your character". It's the complete opposite. There's a reason old school heels always had submission finishers.

Watching a babyface you're really getting behind tap out is heartbreaking. It makes you root for them getting their own back even more and gets the heel over. Meanwhile, having them pass out makes them look tough and resilient.

On the flipside, having a heel tap out is a sign of them getting their comeuppance. If they've really been getting under the babyface's skin and they're forced to submit then it gets the babyface over.

No matter how flashy or complicated wrestling seems to get, one thing always stays the same (including in efeds): The aim of a match is to get someone over. The other person/people should always be willing to help them because, in the end, they all benefit.

TL;DR Submission finishes are a great storytelling device and I'd be more than okay with tapping out.

I am certainly not a fan of them, but I don't hate them to the point where I'd throw a fit if it happened to me. I love making excuses to losses as a heel character, and circumstances like these are just another challenge on taking what happened in the ring, and somehow find a way to invalidate my opponents' win. But I guess if I tap all the time, that would be awful. I'd rather get knocked out than be forced into defeat.

Actual Match/Wrestling Wise... I love them. Can't get enough of them. But I will admit it takes out the excitement of it if the wrestler ALWAYS has a submission move (especially if its the SAME submission move) to win.

To me, it depends on the wrestler and who he/she is facing off against really. I have had some killer submission wins and losses with David Gibson that I would love to happen more often because of how well written they were.

But I've had more than a few submission losses that were done with the same submission hold like it was being spammed by that one move in the old Street Fighter arcade game to be honest.

But if it is written well, I don't mind.
