The Silence of Fury (American Dream match)

(The feed starts up once more and we find ourselves in the Cow Palace, only this time we are shown the row after row of empty seats in the stands...all hauntingly empty save for the one where Reno Dumont sits, high up there...center of the arena...looking dead center perfect where the ring would be with the “best seat” in the house could’ve been)

Reno:
Once again Claudia Michaels graces us with another blithering and blathering promo which does nothing more but to showcase how supposedly great she is and how one can get a little bit of fame and turn it into a superiority complex that would have the Roman emperor Nero go “dude, chill out!” after hearing that promo.

But during the course of watching that promo, she did make one semi-valid point in that I didn’t explain how you were wrong about me as you were ranting about how inferior I am to you.

And the reason for that is simple actually;

Look at my history.

Reno leans forward in his seat, resting his broad forearms on the back of the seat in front of him as he does so.

Reno:
Let’s look at the evidence shall we?

I became a champion in my very first professional wrestling match anywhere, became not only the first world champion of another promotion but also one half of it’s very first tag team champions in the same exact night at the same exact event. More than fifteen tag team championships and seventeen world championships to your*ONE*. The first and only seven time unified heavyweight champion in an alliance of promotions, and two hall of fame rings.

Recognized as a legitimate challenger anywhere that I go for any title that I set my mind to challenging for, recognized as perhaps one of the best and most well rounded singles and tag team wrestlers on the international scene for the entirety of my career, and a man who is more than willing to share his knowledge to help further the growth of any wrestler or promotion that wants to do that.

*THAT*, Claudia, is just me on a professional bases. Something you can never say that you’ve accomplished because in order for you to do that you would need to lose that which you value most;

Your overbearing ego.

Honestly, in all of my years of being a professional wrestler I can truly say that I have never met someone who enjoys trying to lord over everyone else as much as you do and while I will admit that you do it with a certain flair, I can also see that is the only truthful thing about you in that you honestly believe the hype that you continue on with involving yourself.

But for all of that, I once again “hate” to be the person to pop your little self-important bubble but no matter how you spin it-you are not the most important thing in this world and nor will you ever will be.

You see if you represent the American Dream, Claudia, then I represent Manifest Destiny because from the moment that I first step foot into this promotion-your title has belong to me and when you step into the ring with me finally, none of your little schemes or plans will come to fruition because while you can claim to be able to adapt and overcome to any situation that you find yourself in-it pales pitifully in the face of what I can do in that ring because where you were trained by a self-deluded fool who couldn’t understand that he wasn’t some kind of “Gawd”, I was trained by a man who prides himself on creating a sadistic form of excellence, a creator of demonic champions that will eat you alive no matter what you may try to do this weekend as every single one of your moves that you try on me will leave you stamping your little foot in frustration before I make you suffer in ways that will leave you a broken, shivering wreck and unable to...perform...for your husband’s sadistic amusement.

Reno then leans back in his seat and motions at the space before him rather callously, a serious expression etched onto his handsome face.

Reno:
As to your little comment about how I’m used to hardcore matches, but I don’t have the kind of mindset that you accuse me of having because I deal with the pain of those kinds of matches because I’m not afraid of the work nor the matches, and when I finally hang up my wrestling boots for the final time the fans are going to be chanting “you deserve it”....

...unlike you which they’ll be chanting “hey hey...good bye!” in the most disrespectful tones that you’ll ever hear.

But I think it’s high time that you also come to full and complete understanding of something and that is why I have bore the moniker of the “One Man Crime Spree”;

Because no one has a more devious or creative mind than me.

You claim to be a “strategist? You claim to be the smartest person in the entire building?

When I heard those claims of yours, I honestly thought that I was going to die from not being able to breathe for I was laughing that hard, the kind of true jovial laughter that had tears running down my face in a roaring river.

And why might you ask why I was laughing in such a manner?

Because *YOU* claim to be some kind of high level intelligence when in fact you couldn’t even begin to reach the level that I am because in the past I have masterminded situations that granted me exactly what I wanted when I wanted and no one was the wiser.

Reno then leans in and motions for the camera to come in closer, almost like he has a great secret to share with only the camera man...and through him, the fans watching at home.

Reno:
I mean, you did *EXACTLY* what I wanted you to at the last chapter, Claudia… or didn’t you notice that?

I WANTED to be thrown out of the arena so that I could help Nobi later on in his match because I knew that you would try some kind of underhanded bullshit to win, the kid doesn’t deserve to be treated anything less than the good man that he is and I refused to let him down by letting you pull your shit.

The only problem I had was how to make you do it, then the sickness of your soul that is your over underfed ego came out and attacked me during the tag match and you provided me with the biggest moment that I needed, plus the “security” that escorted me out...those were my people by the way.

How else do you think that I got that mask, let alone back into the arena without you even knowing about it?

For someone who claims to be so much my mental superior that you couldn’t even see how you were being played by one of the true masters of this game of human chess?

And Nobi, the only thing that he knew that was going on was that I had his back and that was it, so you’re little comments about him being “fake” and shit, you can shut your mouth down on that shit right now because he’s always going to be ten times greater than you or I because he’s the better man no matter what you may say.

And we will become the first Campeonatos de Parejas for Wrestleworld because Drake and Jones lack the heart and soul that Nobi and I have in spades, and where those two jokers simply sit in their little “lands” and find out their own failed humor of the current seasons of South Park while Nobi and I are working harder and harder to take our rightful places atop the tag team division of this very company.

You talk about chapters and how they are going to end at Wrestleworld and beyond when the simple fact of the matter is that the only chapter that will truly be ending at the pay per view this weekend will be your time holding my title, Claudia, because the crime spree is coming the the Heaven’s Arena, it is going to take its pound of flesh and another ten pounds of gold, and then you are going to have to listen to me being announced as the first ever American Dream champion for this company that we helped to build!

And there is nothing that you can do about it because in the end, you are not the “one true queen” that you constantly proclaim yourself to be but instead you are simply a mad queen, sitting upon your throne of trash deep within your cardboard castle, too drunk off of boxed red wine to realize that your glory days are so far behind you that your rotgut infused rotten pile of fermented garbage that is your BRAIN can’t see the one simple truth;

That I had this match won before it had even BEGUN!

At Violent Ends, Claudia...I will close the chapter on your time as an architect, as a champion, and most importantly as a false queen and there is nothing you can do about it because without you even noticing in the slightest… I have moved you into checkmate.

Enjoy your final hours, because in the end your throne...will be mine.
