Gimmick Description: One half of The Red Zone District. Former football star turned professional wrestler after being kicked out of Arizona State. The reason why he and his best friend D'Angelo Monk chose this new profession is because they still crave competition and are used to the physicality. It’s a match made in heaven. Zaire is a mean son of a bitch when it comes to game day, or now, when it comes to the new Chapters of Wrestleworld on Sundays. Many thought that Zaire would be elsewhere on that day of the week (NFL) but he’s willing to make the most of it. Zaire has always thought he was a star and now has the chance to prove to the world that he is one. His face is no longer hidden by a helmet and face mask. His voice will be heard. His actions will be talked about. The Red Zone District is ready to take on the world, here in Wrestleworld.
Biography (optional): Zaire is the son of football legend and hall of famer, Jonathan Ogden. He followed in his father’s footsteps and became one hell of a football player in his own right. In his high school class he was the #1 rated offensive tackle in the nation and #4 overall. He had offers from every major college football program. Including the UCLA Bruins, where his father played, but ended up declining because he wanted to be his own man. In the end he committed to Arizona State and became a Sun Devil. That caused many eyebrows to raise because even though Arizona State has had some good seasons here and there, it didn’t make sense as to why Zaire would choose them over the likes of Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State. During his freshman year he became a household name with his play on the field, as well as his brash attitude. He became a villain. Talking all kinds of shit while towering over the opposition. Pancaking even the best defensive ends in the nation with much ease. During his freshman year, he also became best friends with fellow freshman phenom and star quarterback, D'Angelo Monk aka The Canton Cannon, while Zaire was trusted to protect his blind side. Which he did by not giving up a sack or even a single QB pressure all season.
Everything was going great for Zaire. His sophomore year he was voted as one of the team captains along with D'Angelo. Zaire not only dominated as a blocker, but in certain packages/formations, he would find himself as a fullback since he is damn near impossible to bring down. So therefore he would be used for short yardage situations, as well as goal line duties. He ended up scoring 17 touchdowns that year. With him pulling double duty and constantly being a nightmare of a matchup no matter where he lined up, he earned himself the nickname The Heisman Hammer. He, along with D'Angelo were Heisman hopefuls during their Sophomore year. But some douche named Baker Mayfield won instead. Towards the end of their season, it looked as if Arizona State was going to be one of the four teams to make the playoffs, but controversy struck when the public learned that Arizona State boosters were paying both Zaire and D'Angelo six figures to attend their school over the normal powerhouses. Which only made sense as to why they chose ASU in the first place. They were suspended indefinitely and their playoff hopes were crushed when ASU lost their last two games of the year without their two stars. But ASU did make it to the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Zaire and D'Angelo were forced to stand on the sidelines and were meant to cheer on their teammates but with their immaturity, they made it about themselves. They ended up wearing fuck the NCAA shirts, along with other controversial quotes under their jerseys. They showed the shirts when the camera zoomed in on them and even threw some money at the camera, making it rain with that booster money. They made the bowl game about themselves. This along with their other antics became a problem. Zaire himself would sleep with a lot of his teammate’s girlfriends and constantly take drugs. Therefore their teammates voted them off the team and no other D1 school wanted to take a chance on them because of their attitude problems. They were slowly developing into the Antonio Browns of college football. But still not nearly as bad as him.
For their junior year they attended East Mississippi Community College, the school on Netflix’s Last Chance U. Those two were the reasons as to why Netflix chose that school in the first place. Whether they were able to redeem themselves or make asses out of themselves even more, Netflix saw the dollar signs. Even though D'Angelo and Zaire put up video game like stats that year, they let the drama and the desire to be stars get the best of them once again and lost their scholarships. They didn’t seem to care because it was after their junior years, meaning they were now NFL draft eligible. Before their baggage, Kiper had them both graded as mid first round picks, but with scouts now knowing about their red flags, they passed on them. Even the Raiders and Browns. Zaire did sign with the Texans’ practice squad but was later let go a few days later because once again, his cocky attitude and mouth landed him in hot water. So with football in their past, they knew they had to make some kind of career saving move and both decided on professional wrestling because they are freak athletes and have the personalities that the audience will love to hate. So they might become stars after all.
