| On Cinema: Hobbs and Shaw. 9.5/10 Seeing my 2 favourite actors as the leading men are awesome. This is my second favourite movie of the franchise just behind Fast 7 xD
On Comp: Logan 10/10. One of the best movies I have ever seen, not just in the superhero genre if I may add, lol.

| Once Upon a Time in Hollywood = 8.5/10
Just classic Tarantino, man. It won't top Inglorious or Django Unchained, but it's a great watch. The cast is brilliant, per usual. Long ass movie though, so if that isn't your thing you might not enjoy it as much as I did. 2 hours and 45 minutes. I highly recommend however, it's just too good not to watch at least once.

| IT: Chapter Two - 8/10
Personally I preferred the first film, but I think it was still pretty damn good and I thoroughly enjoyed all the performances from the cast. It kinda dragged on (I think it was nearly 3 hours), but it was a good watch all in all. I definitely think that the ending was far better than the original ending to the 90's Miniseries. I think there's definitely some flaws to it and some really random shit like the scene where the leper vomits on Eddie, but definitely worth checking out. The comedy in it is also fantastic, especially anything from Bill Hader as Richie; he stole the show in my opinion.

| I recently watched "Child's Play" (2019)
I'll give it an 8/10. Its modernized but it didn't lose its classic touch. Although there are certain aspects about the original story that i preferred vs what they did in this remake. You'll see when you watch.

| Joker (9/10):
What a dark, unsettling social commentary on the class divide, along with providing an incredible character study for one Arthur Fleck. His journey into madness, makes you feel oddly sympathetic. But that goes away real quick and you start to fear the man. Won't say it's a flawless movie but Joaquin's performance is certainly up there. Truly captivating! Holy shit that was worth the wait!

| Ford v Ferrari 10/10. One of the best 2019 movies in my opinion. I went to watch this movie mostly because of Matt Damon but also Christian Bale and Jon Bernthal as well. I actually followed F1 Racing from 2003-2007 so it was a bit of nostalgia when the movies mentioned some of the real figures that I knew (though this movie is about Le Mans). I have to say, Bale stole the show with his performances. Damon and Bernthal did great too (H). | |

I'd say 8/10. I think it's released 10 days too early here than you guys so I'll just say, it was fun, lol.

| Parasite - 9/10
A really unique film that caught me by surprise time and time again. It makes it better that I had no clue what the movie was really even about. Just about every aspect of it was a lot of fun to watch and I do think it definitely lived up to its hype, as people have even stated that it could win the Oscar for Best Picture which would be the first time a foreign film has ever won it.

Good movie, lots of nostalgia, but some strange plot holes and issues with characters.

| The Lighthouse - 8/10
The cinematography and acting were fantastic, but I thought it was a step below The Witch and mainly just confused me by the time it was over. I know there's a lot to it open to interpretation but those kinds of movies usually just drive me nuts.

| Escape Room - 6/10
It wasn't anything particularly original and the story was just alright, but I thought the rooms themselves were fun to look at and it was enjoyable seeing how they each needed to be solved.

My TTRPG also triples as a book club and a movie club. We voted to watch this and I thought it was pretty good. It felt like one of those movies where you could pause it at any point and the frame in which you paused was a work of art. I didn't quite understand what the director was trying to portray with the ending, but if you take into account a sum of all of it's parts, I thought it was pretty good.

7.5/10 - great story and cool concept. the gore scenes are nice. but for a movie that's over 2 hours long, it still was kind of lacking to me... Idk what I wanted out of it but it wasn't a satisfying ending to me. But it's okay, the journey was still nice. I also love the metaphors and the characters that the main character goes through idk how i can say this without giving out spoilers.

I think there were parts that I enjoyed like seeing how the main character developed over time after starting out and how much smarter and more philosophical he got. But I do think the movie had way too much rambling and got too pretentious at times. The murder scenes were good and disturbing and the ending was fascinating, but it definitely could have been better.

| The Irishman - 9/10
While I do think it's insanely long (almost 4 hours) and drags at times, I do think it's still one of the greatest mafia/gangster movies ever made, and a perfect sendoff to the legends of the genre that made it in Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci. All three main actors absolutely fucking killed it, and it was really nice to see them all do a movie together one last time, especially one where De Niro and Pacino actually act like they give a shit. Pesci hasn't missed a beat and might have been the best of them all. The last third of the movie is one of the most gripping and haunting pieces of cinema in general to me and the only proper way to say goodbye to this genre from the master that is Scorsese. We've all come to know gangster movies in a certain way, but this movie by the end of it really turned that all on its head and made us see it in a different light that confronts really what it was all for, if anything. Fantastic movie with fantastic acting and multiple scenes that are stuff of legend.

| Once Upon A Time in Hollywood - 8/10
I was kind of skeptical heading into the movie because I hadn't heard a ton of hype about it, but I honestly think it's one of Tarantino's best. It felt like a love letter to everything he loves and had a great story that actually kept you guessing despite how straight forward it seemed. Not to mention Leonardo Dicaprio and Brad Pitt especially both delivered fantastic performances. The ending of course is amazing to watch as well.
