| Pretty much just like the Movie rating thread, except for TV shows. Can be for when you've finished just a normal season of a show you've been watching or if it was the final season. Rate how you feel about it and post a quick reasoning why too if you'd like. | |

| The Righteous Gemstones (Season 1) - 9/10
For a comedy that I didn't really have a lot of expectations for heading into it, I really enjoyed the hell out of it. Danny McBride and David Gordon Green and Jody Hill have really been on a roll as of late, first with Vice Principals and now this. They do a really certain style of comedy that's endlessly entertaining to me, and knows how to surprise you with how emotional it can suddenly be, as well as well acted. It was a blast to watch where the story was going, and while it did poke a lot of fun at religion and everything, it did also show why having faith really can help someone change their ways and work towards being someone better, no matter what they've done. The comedy of it was great, the drama of it was great, and I look forward to seeing more from it if there's going to be further seasons. Also John Goodman is awesome.

| The Good Place (Season 4) - 10/10
This was the final season of the series, and what a fantastic, unique series it was. Seriously one of the best shows I've had the joy of checking out, and one I never would have expected since it's just an NBC sitcom, but it was also a lot more than that. It gave genuine takes on what it means to be human and to be moral and if people can change if they're just inherently bad. The final season especially focused on these ideas and more. It gave a take on the afterlife in a way I've never seen before and created one of the greatest series finales I've ever seen, packing great humor with tear-jerking moments all in one. Fantastic show and I highly recommend it.

| Locke & Key (Season 1) - 7.5/10
The book the series is based on was obviously designed to bring in young adult readers and, typically, that leads to the shows or movies... being pretty bland. Locke & Key isn't that. It's not perfect by any means but it's well-paced, has good acting, has an interesting storyline and the idea behind the keys never goes too over-the-top while maintaining how unique they all are. Certain plot points fall flat, however, and there's a couple of characters that feel purely there to serve the story. That being said, Locke & Key is heading in the right direction and definitely a show worth watching if you want good modern fantasy.

| Mythic Quest (Season 1) - 9/10
Honestly, despite the cast and the people behind it (basically people from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia), I was not expecting anything out of this show. It didn't help that it's exclusively on Apple TV, so I figured it was doomed and probably wouldn't be anything special anyway. However, I heard praise for it and decided to check it out myself, and needless to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. It has It's Always Sunny humor, but it a different environment and doing something that I always wanted: the people behind It's Always Sunny doing more emotional stuff, which it does. It's a comedy for the most part, of course, but it does get serious about its characters when it needs to and there's one episode in particular that diverges from the actual story to tell a different story that is powerful and heartbreaking and I absolutely loved it. This show really blew me away and I hope that it lives as long as they want it to, because I definitely need more of it.

| The Witcher: Season 1 (hopefully with many more to come) 9/10
I enjoy the games, they're fun. The show itself is drawn out very well, and entertaining. Great action, nice pacing. I'd recommend it.
