Battle of Sweetwater

It's been a whirlwind this month. After graduating from the House of Paine Academy at the end of April, Lillie Saint has found herself jumping right into an ocean full of sharks. Two matches down in her career, this is her first for WrestleWorld. The land run by maniacs, a separate continent of sorts. A world away from home, and she knows it.

Alone, Lillie sits in first class on the airplane. First time she's ever been there. Sporting a red 'Revolucha' t-shirt and jeans, she remains quiet. Inside of that mind of hers, she knows that facing Beau Cassidy on Dominion will be a major test. One of her trainers warned her, 'don't ever buy, rent', in reference to living near a promotion. Wrestleworld seems like home of some of the greatest competitors ever to set foot in the ring. There's Arata Asakura, Havoc, April Song, even Claudia Michaels. They are just some of the best of the best. In her case though, every one of them are a threat.

This is truly her first time away from everything. Her home, her friends, her lovely bulldog, her boyfriend, everything. Her eyes remain docile as she lies back against the seat. Then there's Beau Cassidy.

She knew Beau. She knew of him, at least. Sweetwater isn't exactly a big town, but she would see him from time to time. This rough, rugged looking guy who was the bullrider. Not the first in the city, but one of the better ones. He reminded her so much of her brother. That laid back attitude when times were good, that fiery demeanor when things go wrong. Like her brother though, Beau probably wouldn't appreciate losing to someone like Lillie. She smiled to herself as she thinks over how big this match is to her. She's basically fighting a one dimensional version of her kin.

Upon landing in Wrestleworld, she slowly emerges from her seat. Grabbing her bag from the overhead compartment, she walks off the plane to the terminal. Before she knew it, her phone went off. It was a text message from Jonathan Hunt, simply stating 'Check it out, your interview is up!'. She grins from ear to ear, and immediately opens up the video.

It was her first ever interview, granted it was over the phone. Still interesting though.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are on with a brand new talent, making her debut at Wrestleworld this week. Lillie Saint, how are you doing today?"

"I'm doing excellent, Jonathan, how are you?

"Doing excellent, thank you. First time really talking to you, let's start with your match coming up on DOMINION against Beau Cassidy. Apparently you two are from the same town, and are both making your debuts. Hard to beat that for a first impression. Tell us a little bit about how this match came to be?"

She pauses, not quite sure how to answer that.

"That's a pretty loaded statement. Basically, I got a call, and they told me that I was scheduled for appearing at DOMINION. Funny thing is, I don't have any issues what-so-ever with Beau Cassidy. Long story short, he's there for the same reason I am, to make a statement. Again, nothing against the guy, but either he wins, or I win, that's all I can really say about how that match actually came to be."

"You've wrestled a couple matches under a different company. Are the prematch jitters finally gone for you?"

"I don't think those jitters ever go away. First time I ever hit the curtain, I was scared to death. You always have that fear that when you come out, nobody knows who you are. They didn't know who I was, and DOMINION will most likely be the same way. Nobody knows what to expect from me. I don't even know what to expect from me coming up."

There's a bit of a pause between the two. The lack of Lillie's confidence is beginning to show.

"Alright. Let's talk about how you got into this business, and where a match with Beau Cassidy on DOMINION will factor in?"

A little unsure of what to say, she tries to remember everything she was taught about public speaking. This sucks.

"I got into the business because of my brother. I'm just going to be honest with you. I saw what he was doing, and how hard he worked. I saw all that, and thought it would be a good idea to try. I got in touch with his trainer, who's basically a father to both of us, and trained out in Los Angeles for several months. It's nerve-racking to consider being away from everything, and from what's important in my life. This is my life now. Go out there, fight, and try to be the absolute best I can. A win over Beau Cassidy will help me showcase that, and maybe people will see me for being this badass little spitfire, rather than being the sweetheart. I don't know what else to say."

"It seems like there's a bit of dissention between you and your brother as late. Beau Cassidy resembles a lot of your brother, does it feel like you're fighting Colt Montoya, or what's the general feeling there?

"Siblings argue, and they disagree. I don't hate him, but I question what he's doing. I feel he sold out, and it's a pretty rotten feeling, to tell you the truth, Jonathan. Comparing Beau Cassidy to my brother is weird, to me. Same city, yeah. Same idea when Colt first came to Wrestleworld, yeah. I bet he didn't sell out like my brother did though. So, for that, and alone, it's not like I look at Beau Cassidy like that. When I take a swing at him on DOMINION, it's not at my brother, it's at a rival. If I slap the taste out of his mouth, maybe it will be a receipt for the way Colt handled the situation with some scummy rich guy. How I handle myself in that ring this week, and how I battle against a guy like Beau Cassidy has nothing to do with him.."

After a brief moment of silence between the two, Jonathan speaks up again.

"Alright, so talk us into the building. Why is Lillie Saint vs. Beau Cassidy a match to watch?"

"That's easy. If you want to see two people get into that ring, and prove that they are special in this business, and belong in the spotlight, look no further than Beau and I when we battle it out. It will be a hard hitting match. Hell, I might even break out a new submission that nobody's ever seen before. You just never know. DOMINION is going to be awesome, but that match, it's going to be wicked!"

Back to the Terminal

Lillie smiles as she closes up the interview from her phone. Here she is, in Wrestleworld, and it's time to bring her absolute best to the company. She walks down the terminal, rolling her bag behind her as she considers how big of a win this will be, in her debut match.

Before leaving the terminal, she looks around at everyone. She throws her hands up, growling it out as she screams it.

"DOOOOOOOOMIIIIIIIIINIOOOOON!!!!"

She pauses for a moment, as everybody around her stops walking, and stares at her. She mouths 'sorry' and scampers out of the airport terminal.
