My list always kinda recycles over time. There's matches I forget about, and then when I see it again, I'll watch it over and over.
1. WALTER vs. Tyler Bate - What a showing! My favorite spot was the timber spot WALTER did on Bate in the later portion of the match. It was exceptional from bell to bell.
2. Davey Richards vs. Austin Aries from 2009 - Aries had the strap, Davey was a tag champion with Edwards, they fought basically in my hometown in Novi. 45 minutes, everything you'd expect from Davey, he did in that match. I was in the section (towards the end of the section) where Davey would do the somersault plancha into the crowd. I don't think I sat down the entire match, it was incredible.
3. Okada vs. Ibushi from Night 1 of WrestleKingdom this year. EXCEPTIONAL match, it told a fantastic story the entire time. Ibushi looked like a million bucks, Okada looked like Okada, the guy cannot look bad in the ring. Bell to bell, incredible match, one I would be more than happy to watch any day.
4. Kevin Steen vs. El Generico from Final Battle 2010. Not the same one Nobi mentioned, even though that match was great. This one was the Fight Without Honor. Generico chasing Steen for a year after the betrayal at Final Battle 09. It had everything you could ask for. It even had Colt Cabana teasing the heel turn, but ultimately remaining the proper babyface he's so good at being.
Consider 5 to be honorable mentions, as I feel they are great matches that did so much to me as a fan.
Taker vs. Mankind - Hell In A Cell, Nigel McGuinness vs. Bryan Danielson from 2007, Joe vs. Angle from 2006, Angle vs. Benoit - Rumble 2003, Chris Hero vs. Human Tornado - Guerrilla Warfare from 2008 (I think that was the year), Pretty much 75% of the matches I see in New Japan.
