"You can’t be the “KING” you wanted to be, you can’t be at the top of Wrestleworld if you can’t hold that American Dream Championship." "You need to explain your actions, you need to tell us why... give us a reason as to what you did!" "GIVE US A REASON!" ~~~~~II~~~~~~~~~~II~~~~~~~~~~II~~~~~~~~~~II~~~~~~~~~~II~~~~~~~~~~II~~~~~ The opening scene begins within The Prince’s Penthouse in Wexford Town - the sun shines bright through the entire town itself. The streets are near enough empty, only a very select few walks around the town these days with the current global outbreak within the world right now. We cut to within this “penthouse” of Maverick as we watch the man himself sit on the couch and looking out the balcony doors to the blue sky outside. Music playing in the background, Billie Eilish’s “everything i wanted” softly heard as Maverick begins to speak.I don’t need to explain anything to anyone why I did what I did, frankly, I don’t need to explain shit to anyone. I know so many questions have been going around the internet for quite a while and well, to answer them, I was injured. Sometime after a recent episode of Olympus in OWA and Badlands in Wrestleworld, I was attacked on another show by a group and they slammed a chair across the back of my neck, setting off a previous injury from years ago. Set of concussions, spinal injuries that put me out for months in 2018 and 2019, but gladly I fought back harder and now I’m here. Stronger, faster, smarter.And now apart of the Underworld.So why am I back? Why am I here? Do I have a goal in mind? Well, I’m sure you’d be able to answer that yourself. There’s always been that one goal in mind, that’s to become the king, and what better way to become the king than to align with the Queen. It makes perfect sense, right? See, Claudia Michaels bestowed upon me an invitation to return to Wrestleworld once back in good health. There, an alignment was formed. She knew good talent when she saw it and I’ll tell you something, she surely got what she bargained for. Not only does she have the best athletic, aerialist, strongest strikers in the game today… but she nabbed herself the Prince of Wrestleworld, and already, The Underworld is draped in royalty.Draped in the riches, draped in class, draped in style. This is why she personally asked me to help her on her journey. You can’t get any better than me, for fuck sake! But what’s better? I get to team with The Professional. That’s a man I’ve been keeping a close eye on since I was out of action for a while, long before Claudia called me up. I am this man’s “client” for a reason, April and Hana. For all the good this man does, he does lack in some departments, and that’s where I come in. You see, where he has his ground and pound submission-based techniques, I come in as an unorthodox striker. I can hit you from anywhere and everywhere, you’ll never know when I’ll strike! April, you should know this! You’ve been in the ring with me before, on numerous occasions, and you know that I can adapt to my surroundings very…. VERY easily.Maverick slightly chuckles to himself as he stands up, making his way to the doors that lead out to the balcony and opening them slowly. The wind does hit the door with a slight force, but not too much to push it back. Maverick opens the door and takes a few steps out onto the balcony, pulling out a vape pen and taking a few drags from it, exhaling the smoke from his mouth. He leans on the balcony walls and looks out to the ocean that he faces.April, you knew I’d come back and come for you, we have unfinished business from Badlands and before. Do you remember who got the first pin in the qualifier match for the Elimination Chamber - actually, if I remember correctly, you shouldn’t have even been in that match. It was only for that lanky fucking cunt, Jaywalker, that you got into that Chamber. You got fucking lucky that night, April. If it wasn’t for Jaywalker, you wouldn’t even be in that match, you wouldn’t have even come close to winning the Queen’s title. So what makes you think you’ll come out on top this time? Is it because of me being gone for a short while? I can assure you of something, April, I may have been gone for just a couple of months but look what I did at Chapter Twelve to you. Being able to beat the fucking shit out of you like that doesn’t come from not training for two months. I’ve worked my fucking ass off to be able to enter that fucking ring once again, and trust me, at King of the World - I’ll fucking do it again, and it won’t just be with you.We have your little side project, your little pet bitch, that little cutie… Hana Nakajima. Aren’t you just the cutest little thing? Little seventeen-year-old Hana Nakajima, being trained by April Song… Oh Hana, oh you poor sweet little thing. You really need to pick better mentors, Arata would be so much better than April. At least he’s worth something, he’s got the fucking Shogun Championship and yet you’re training with this bitch. Oh she’s a former OWA Goddesses Champion, is that why? A former Lethal Specialists Champion with the longest reign of any championship in the company, is that why? Former Specialists Champion in EAW, is that why you’re with her? I know that at a young age, we make mistakes. I mean, look at me, I’ve made some heavy-duty mistakes and guess what, Hana, I grew out of them and look where I am now. Formerly a crowned prince of the world, formerly a king but you know what that means? I was at the top of the world at one point but things happened and took me away from my throne.Someone like you would thrive for that sort of success. Someone like you would kill for that fame. I promise you, Hana, one day you will… But not with April by your side. If it was up to me, I’d take you under my wing and show you the keys to the kingdom, show you what you are missing out on. Sadly, you aren’t going to find that out at King of The World. For as much as your mentor would like to tell you that you two are going to be successful, it’s her that’s going to drag you down and let you be completely fucking embarrassed in the ring. Hana, being as realistic as I always am, you’ve got too much of a responsibility in your hands for someone like you. This is too much, you’ve entered a war without experience, you’ve entered a nightmare you simply cannot wake up from. Consider me as a sleep paralysis demon of yours, I’ll haunt you, I’ll scar you and guess what... You won’t be able to fight back.Maverick smirks to himself, knowing damn well what he’s doing right now. He moves away from the balcony walls and back inside the apartment. That’s where he grabs his iPad, unlocking it and pulling up a picture of Hana Nakajima from her recent match with Claudia Michaels.This leaves a smile on Maverick's face, he knows he can't hold back on hurting the poor innocent Hana Nakajima but he knows this wasn't her fault. He... feels bad for her, not emotionally but mentally, he feels bad that she's got to be put through this sort of war that she was never intended to be apart of. Because you were never ready for it, you can’t wake yourself up from the inevitable. This is what I’m talking about, Hana, you’ve got too much responsibility in your hands and that’s going to lead to your downfall. You may think that The Underworld is just a group of cold-hearted bastards who do nothing but inflict pain to others for the hell of it but that’s not why, Hana, we’re here to set out the truth about Wrestleworld and every fucker in it. We’re here to open people’s eyes that The Underworld is a group of elites, the best of the best and we’re not going anywhere, no matter how hard people try. So, Hana, I beg of you, stand back from this match and don’t step into the ring at King of The World. Don’t even speak about the match, don’t even try to fight back the truth. I just want to protect you, from not only myself and The Professional… But from the entirety of The Underworld, you have your whole life to live for. You’ve got to live forever. Back away from April before she drags you through hell with her and the rest of them. She’s going to ruin you. Be smarter than that. As for you, April, our time is not coming to an end very soon but I can reassure you, that at King of The World… I finish what I should have ended inside that fucking Chamber. I put an end to April Song and every fucking thing she’s worked for in her life.The Prince is fucking back and this time, not one of you are fucking safe, and I wouldn’t say it if it weren’t true.With that said, the scene finally fades to black and the transmission ends. | |
